As the Information Technology Manager reporting directly to our Regional Fire Chief, you’re not just filling a position – you’re becoming a pivotal part of our team. BRFA is a dynamic and diverse organization with over 150 amazing individuals across 7 stations, operating in 3 main divisions: 911, EMS, and Fire. And you? You’re the tech wizard who’ll keep our digital world running.
Your Role:
- Be our Tech Guru: You’ll be the go-to person for all things IT. Overseeing the hardware and software that keeps our organization running smoothly will be your domain
- Advisor and Innovator: Your insights will guide us. You’ll listen to what our people need, work with our leadership team, and come up with tech solutions that really make a difference
- Safety Net Creator: With you at the helm, our digital assets will be safe and sound. You’ll set up disaster recovery plans and ensure our information security is top-notch.
- Performance Monitor: You’ll keep an eagle eye on our IT systems every day, ensuring everything from computers to networks is functioning perfectly.
- Strategic Thinker: We’re counting on you to recommend strategies and policies that keep us ahead of the curve. Spotting trends and anticipating needs? That’s your forte.
- Budget Whisperer: Managing our IT budget effectively and efficiently? You’ve got this.
- Tech Trendsetter: You’ll always have your finger on the pulse of new IT developments, keeping us up-to-date and ahead of the game.
- Quality Champion: Setting and enforcing standards that uphold our top-notch service? That’s all you.
- Emergency Responder: When tech crises strike, you’re our superhero, ready to troubleshoot at a moment’s notice.
Educational Background:
You’ve got a university degree or college diploma in Computer Sciences or something similar like Network Administration, Systems Administration, Information Security.
Experience:
Five years of experience makes you the pro we need, especially if you’ve worked in telecommunications, municipal or emergency services setting.
Clearances:
Enhanced security clearance and a current driver’s abstract are part of the deal.
