Regional Fire Stations
The Bonnyville Regional Fire Authority consists of 9 Fire Stations spread throughout the Municipal District of Bonnyville No. 87. These stations are located in Goodridge, Glendon, Iron River, Lacorey, Bonnyville, Ardmore, Fort Kent and the City of Cold Lake (contracted).
Station #1
Bonnyville Regional Fire Authority Administration
Bonnyville Regional Fire Authority Administration is not an active fire response hall. Three vehicles are allocated to this station. A 2011 Chev 1500, a 2006 Ford Expedition and a 2002 Ford 4×4. These units are for use by administration. Station 9 is the designation given to the City of Cold Lake Fire & Rescue Department, which provides services under contract to the Authority in the Cold Lake area of the M.D. of Bonnyville. The locations of these Stations have evolved over time based on population densities, electoral divisions and the amalgamation of Improvement District #18 and the Municipal District of Bonnyville No. 87.
Station #2
Goodridge Fire Department
Located at N.W. 19-62-9-W4M. The Station houses a 2004 4000 L/min Pumper meeting ULC-S515-M1988 design standards, a 2006 Rosenbauer 7700 Litre Tanker equipped with a 2000 L/min firepump and a 2000 Custom Built Rescue/Support vehicle. These vehicles are equipped based on the equipment schedule contained in ULCS 515-M1988.
The hall itself was constructed in 1991 when the department was established and operated by Alberta Municipal Affairs through Improvement District #18. An addition was constructed in 2000 to house the new Rescue/Support vehicle. The hall contains an office for the Station Fire Chief, a small classroom and meeting room, kitchen facilities, washroom facilities and limited storage area. There are 3 apparatus bays to house the Station’s vehicles.

Glendon Fire Department
Glendon Fire Department is located in the Village of Glendon at Section 8-61-8-W4M. The Station houses a 2004 Superior 4000 L/min Pumper meeting ULC-S515-M1988, a 2006 Rosenbauer 7700 Litre Tanker equiped with a 2000L/min fire pump, a 1996 Rapid Response Vehicle and the Village of Glendon Fire truck. The Station is our newest building constructed in 2004. The Station contains office space for the Station Fire Chief, Deputy Chief and Director of Disaster Services for the Village of Glendon. There are classroom/meeting room facilities along with washroom facilities, kitchen and a locker room.

Iron River Fire Department
Iron River Fire Department is located at S.W. 3-64-7-W4M in the north part of the Municipal District of Bonnyville No. 87. The Station houses a 1996 2012 Rosenbauer Rapid Response Unit and a 2010 Rosenbauer 13,600 Litre Tanker with a 2000 L/min fire pump. The hall itself was constructed in 1991 when the department was established and operated by Alberta Municipal Affairs through Improvement District #18. The hall contains an office for the Station Fire Chief, a small classroom and meeting room, kitchen facilities, washroom facilities and limited storage area. There are 2 apparatus bays to house the Station’s vehicles.

Bonnyville Fire Department
Bonnyville Fire Department is located at S.W. 17-61-5-W4M in the Town of Bonnyville. The Station houses a 1993 General Rapid Response Unit, a 2012 Smeal Rescue Pumper, a 2007 Rosenbauer 5000 L/min Pumper, a 2010 Rosenbauer 14,000 Litre Tanker equipped with a 2000 L/min fire pump, a 2011 Pierce 8000 L/min 23 m Aerial Foam Unit, a 2004 Superior 4000 L/min Pumper and a 2005 Superior 5000 L/min Pumper. These units are equipped based on the ULC-S515-M1988 standard. In addition the 2011 Aerial Foam Unit carries specialized equipment for industrial firefighting and the 1993 Rapid and 2012 Rescue pumper carry specialized equipment for vehicle extrication, wildland firefighting, hazardous material response and high angle rescue.
The hall itself was constructed in 1991 and houses the Bonnyville Fire Department and the Administration of the Bonnyville Regional Fire Authority. There is office space for the Regional Fire Chief, the Regional Deputy Chief and the Administrative Assistant. Additionally there is office space for the Station Officers, meeting/classroom space, kitchen facilities, washrooms and a firefighters common area. This fire hall also receives use by other groups and organizations in the area for meetings and training eg) RCMP, Town and M.D. Safety Committees, etc.
Station #6
Lacorey Fire Department
Lacorey Fire Department is located at S.W. 18-63-5-W4M. The Station houses a 2006 Superior 43000 L/min Pumper meeting ULC-S515-M1988 design standards and a 1991 Custom Built 7700 Litre Tanker designed for wildland firefighting. A 2004 Superior tanker which holds 7600 litres of water and has a 2000 L/min pump. These units are equipped based on the ULC-S515-M1988 standard.
The hall itself was constructed in 1980 and is shared with the Municipal District of Bonnyville No. 87, which houses a grader on their side. This building has shared utilities and phone. The hall contains an office for the Station Fire Chief, meeting/classroom facilities, kitchen facilities and washrooms. There is a one bay firehall beside the main building used to house the 1991 tanker.which is shared with the Municipal District of Bonnyville No. 87 Public Works Department and houses the agricultural field spraying equipment.
During the summer months we deploy the older tanker to the Crane Lake Subdivision area.

Fort Kent Fire Department
Fort Kent Fire Department is located at S.W. 25-61-5-W4M. The Station houses a 2004 Superior 4000 L/min Pumper meeting the ULC-S515-M1988 standard. This unit is equipped based on the ULC-S515-M1988 standard.
The hall itself is a one bay Station constructed in 1980 containing an office for the Station Fire Chief, washroom facilities and limited storage space. In 1999 the firefighters funded and constructed an addition to the hall which provides classroom/meeting space and kitchen facilities. The Station utilities and phone are shared by the Municipal District of Bonnyville No. 87 Public Works grader building.
Station #8
Ardmore Fire Department
Ardmore Fire Department is located at S.E. 1-62-4-W4M. The Station houses a 2004 Superior 4000 L/min Pumper meeting the ULC-S515-M1988 standard. This unit is equipped based on the ULC-S515-M1988 standard.
The hall itself was constructed in 1965 and consists of 2 apparatus bays, one used by the Municipal District of Bonnyville No. 87 to house a grader and the second for the fire truck. The hall contains a small meeting room/classroom,washroom facilities and very little storage space. Utility and telephone costs are shared with the Municipal District of Bonnyville No. 87.
In addition, the Bonnyville Regional Fire Authority also operates a breathing air trailer, a trench rescue trailer and a brush fire trailer, which are located in the Municipal District of Bonnyville No. 87 Public Works yard in Bonnyville.

Cold Lake Fire-Rescue
Cold Lake Fire-Rescue consists of 2 fire halls housing Bonnyville Regional Fire Authority apparatus located at N.W. 24-63-2-W4M within the City of Cold Lake. These are contract Stations and also house the City of Cold Lake’s fire response apparatus. The apparatus located here are a 2000 Phoenix – Wetside 7600 Litre Tanker/Pumper, a 2007 Rosenbauer 4000 L/min Pumper meeting the ULC-S515-M1988 standard and a 2004 Superior 4000 L/min Pumper meeting the ULC-S515-M1988 standard. These units are equipped based on the ULC-S515-M1988 standard.
The halls themselves are the responsibility of the City of Cold Lake. The Municipal District of Bonnyville No. 87 and the former Improvement District #18 funded the construction of 2 apparatus bays on the south hall.
Fire Training Centre
Bonnyville
The Bonnyville Regional Fire Authority Fire Training Centre is located adjacent to the Municipal District of Bonnyville Transportation and Utilities yard one mile north of the town of Bonnyville. This is a multi-phase project that is planned for completion in 2013. Phase one was the installation of a four story burn building designed to train for structural firefighting, high angle rescue and ladder truck operations. Phase two will be the installation of industrial fire props designed to train firefighter for responding to incidents related to the heavy oil industry in the region.
