Bonnyville, AB – December 3, 2025 – The Bonnyville Regional Fire Authority (BRFA) is pleased to announce that Station 10 – Cherry Grove will officially commence emergency response operations on December 3, 2025, at 7:00 PM.
“Station 10 members have been training and preparing to serve the community for the past year, with strong support from all BRFA Stations and Administration. The team is well-trained, well-prepared, and fully equipped to respond,” said Alicia Krawchuk, Regional Chief of Emergency Services. Construction of Station 10 began in Summer 2024 and reached completion in October 2025. Over the past several months, BRFA has acquired the necessary fire apparatus and equipment, and the station is now fully operational.
“We are incredibly proud to see Station 10 come online,” said Darren Sandbeck, Chief Administrative Officer. “This project reflects the commitment of our members, our partners, and our community to strengthening regional emergency services. Cherry Grove residents can be confident that they now have a highly capable and dedicated team ready to respond when needed.”
