This morning at approximately 7:25 a.m., the Bonnyville Regional Fire Authority (BRFA) responded to a reported fire at the Home Hardware in Bonnyville.
Upon arrival, firefighters found a fire located at the loading dock and trailer area. Crews acted quickly to contain the flames, preventing the fire from spreading into the main building. Thanks to the fast and coordinated response, damage was limited to the trailer and loading dock.
A total of two fire command units and four fire trucks from Bonnyville Station 5 responded, with support from Fort Kent Station 7 and Ardmore Station 8, each providing one additional fire truck.
“The quick work of our crews ensured that the fire was contained before it could impact the main store,” said the Bonnyville Regional Fire Authority. “We are grateful for the teamwork of our firefighters and the support of our regional stations.”
The fire remains under investigation, and no injuries have been reported at this time.
