Our Legacy of Care
The foundation of the Bonnyville Regional Fire Authority (BRFA) EMS division was laid on October 22, 1974, with the establishment of the Bonnyville Municipal Ambulance. For over 50 years, we have evolved alongside our community, reaching a pivotal milestone in 1999 as the first rural EMS service in northeastern Alberta to provide Advanced Life Support (ALS).
Today, we operate under contract to Emergency Health Services - Alberta, serving as a vital link in the provincial healthcare chain. Our history of clinical firsts and regional leadership drives our mission to deliver high-quality, mobile healthcare to the people of Bonnyville and the surrounding area.
